The first dusting of snow has fallen up at the Mammoth Mountain Ski Area. Snow is also on the ground in many parts of the town of Mammoth Lakes.

Snow fell off and on for several hours late yesterday afternoon and into the early evening hours. The whole event was topped off by a nice size thunder storm around 11 pm last night.

We head up to the main lodge at 7:30 this morning and found around a inch of frozen wet glop. Driving around town we found the Slopes area by Canyon Lodge had snow on the ground around the homes.

That looks like the end of this event for now, the weekend is going to be clear a warm with highs in the 70s and lows in the 30s and 40s.
