Forecast Update Friday January 8th, 2016 | Mammoth Mountain Weather| MammothSnowman.com

After a dry day today (Friday), light snow returns Saturday to refresh the snow-pack, but not enough snowfall is expected for deep powder conditions. Another light snowfall is possible Monday after a dry day Sunday followed by another chance for light to moderate snow around Wednesday into Thursday next week. The next chance for snow would then be over the following weekend, although current guidance suggests it won’t be a big storm as well. Larger storms are then possible after the 19-20th when extended outlook model forecasts are generally showing the El Nino influenced pattern to re-strengthen over the last part of January and into February.
