Mountain Biking Mammoth Lakes, Mammoth Mountain & the Inyo

5-9-2014 – 7AM – Welcome to Mountain Biking in Mammoth Lakes and the Eastern Sierra. Things are melting out quickly here in the Mammoth Lakes area. The snowline is around 8700 feet that means 95% of the trails and roads in the Inyo National Forest are ready to ride. Trail conditions are moist to a bit wet in spots as we have been having off and on snow for the past several weeks, including 2 feet of fresh just 2 weeks ago. As I type this the ground is wet once again from the overnight snow showers we had. We should see this cool weather come to end over the weekend.
