3-29-2014 7:45AM Good morning from Mammoth Mountain, we have a Winter Storm Warning posted from late today thru the night time hours. As of 7am at Main Lodge we have winds to 40 mph with a temperature of 28, up at 11,053 feet winds are peaking at 70 mph with a temperature of 21. Chairs 9, 12, 22, 23 and 25 are on wind hold at this time. I would expect more to be added to the list by 8am . Tonight s storm could bring 7-10 inches in town and a good 12-18+ inches from Main Lodge on up to the top of Mammoth Mountain. Sunday is looking to clear out fast for a epic spring powder day. By Monday the next powder event is on the way with snow by late in the day and into Tuesday. That snow should be some nice and light powder. Some forecasts show the snow as light as 20-1. Amounts could be in the 12-24+ inch range for some epic powder skiing and riding! If you want a taste of some powder today is the time to pack the car and drive up.
