Mammoth Lakes Today 5-11-2015

5-11-2015 8:30AM Hello from Mammoth Lakes, California. We had a taste of winter on Friday and Saturday and then spring returned on Sunday. The town picked up 6-12 inches of snow with 13-19 inches up at the ski area. Mammoth Mountain has announced that with the new snow they received, they will be canceling closing day and staying open longer. No closing day set at this time. Looking at the snow line this morning it s up around 8600 feet and should go up even more today with highs in the 50 s. Today we will have highs around 56 in town, 65 in Crowley and 30 s from MC Coy Station up with SW winds 15-45 MPH over the higher elevations. The word from Mammoth Mountain is they will run chairs 1, 3, 6, 23 this week. Lifts hours: 7:30AM to 1:30 PM Check out our snow report at this link at MammothSnowman.com.
