Mammoth Lakes Today 5-4-2015

It s May 4th, 2015 at 8:03AM. Hello from Mammoth Lakes, California. We had a great weekend with highs in the 60s and lows in the 30s, no showers but we did have some build ups that got blown off to the east of town. This week we do expect things to start out warm, but a big cool down is on the way with temperatures dropping about 20 degrees by Thursday. This entire week offers up a chance of t-storms or just plain old showers late in the week. With the cool down we should see some snow showers over the entire area by Thursday.  If things set up just right we could see a few inches of snow on the ground at the ski area, the lakes basin and of course in the back country. For many of you, this is your favorite time of year- skiing & snowboarding in the am, and then biking, hiking, fishing and or paddle boarding in the afternoons.   Come on up and take it all in next weekend!
