8-28-2015 – 7:11AM– Good Morning from Mammoth Lakes. Smoke from the Rough fire moved back in around 4am. PM 10 counts are around 40 as of 7am. We also have a Red Flag Warning and a High Wind Advisory in effect for 4AM Saturday until 2PM Saturday. If you re planning a trip to Mammoth Lakes or you are already in town, you can expect to see off and on light amounts of smoke at times over the next couple weeks. There is no way to forecast for sure when and if the smoke will make it in each day. Current Conditions: Here at the 8175 foot level I have a 51, at main lodge its 54 and at the top of Mammoth Mountain it s 47. Winds are WSW at Main to 10-20 MPH and up top SW to 20-25MPH. The humidity level is at 54% and dew points are at 32°F. Mammoth Lakes Forecast: Highs will be in the 70s in town with 60s on Mammoth Mountain and up in the Lakes Basin.
